If your life situation changes and you want to move from one Vaso right-of-occupancy home to another, you must submit a new housing application. Applications are easy to submit online. You can submit a new housing application when you have lived in a Vaso home for 6 months. Before that time, we will not accept your application.

Please remember that the notice period for your current home is three months. The right-of-occupancy fee you paid for your current Vaso home can be transferred to the new home. If you have pledged your agreement to guarantee a bank loan, you will need to seek the bank’s approval to transfer the right-of-occupancy fee. The bank should send its approval to myynti@vaso.fi. The security deposit for your current home is specific to that housing unit, so it cannot be transferred to the new home.

The conditions for moving from one Vaso home to another are that you have paid the residence charges for your current home as agreed and have lived there for at least six months. You must also have no recorded breaches of the peace.

Moving from one Vaso home to another (in a different residential property)

You need a queue number if you want to move to a home that is under construction or due to be vacated. However, you do not need to submit documentation of your assets to Vaso.

You need a new queue number to move to a new home. The ARA online service can provide a new queue number. When you have a queue number, you can fill in a housing application.

Note: When a purchase offer is sent to applicants who have housing applications, the bidding round is closed. No further applications are accepted for the relevant home in the application period. You can register as an applicant for as many homes as you like. Your housing search ends when you find a home.

Moving to a new home within the same residential property

You do NOT need a queue number if you want to move to a new home within the same residential property. Current residents always take precedence over other applicants.

If several residents wish to move to new homes within the same property, the resident who has lived there longest takes precedence. If two residents wishing to move to new homes within the same property have lived there for the same length of time, the resident with the lower queue number in their existing right-of-occupancy agreement takes precedence.

Note: When a purchase offer is sent to applicants who have housing applications, the bidding round is closed. No further applications are accepted for the relevant home in the application period. You can register as an applicant for as many homes as you like. Your housing search ends when you find a home.

It is important to fill in the correct application so we know you want to move to a home within the same residential property. If you would like to move to a new home within your current residential property or any other Vaso property, you must complete two housing applications: an internal move application and a normal housing application.

Swapping your home with another resident

You do not need a queue number to swap homes with another resident. It is also not necessary to submit documentation of your assets. You can make an agreement with the customer service agent on when to sign the agreement, move in, and pay the right-of-occupancy fee and deposit.
