Applying for a home
Applying for a right-of-occupancy home is easy with an online form – whether you are applying for your first right-of-occupancy home or moving from one Vaso home to another.
To apply for a right-of-occupancy home, you need a queue number. You can apply for one from the online service of Varke (Centre for State-Subsidised Housing Construction). Queue numbers issued by Varke are valid nationwide. The number costs €9.20 and is valid for two years or until you use it to conclude a right-of-occupancy agreement.
Once you have received your queue number, you can fill in a housing application.
In the application, you specify what you are looking for, such as location, apartment type and building type. After we have processed your application, you will receive purchase offers for homes that match your search criteria. You decide which homes you register for. A purchase offer is sent to all applicants whose housing application is valid when the offer round starts and whose search criteria match the home. You can register as an applicant for as many homes as you like. Applications received during an offer round will be taken into account in the next round, if there is one.
The application remains valid for as long as your nationwide queue number is valid, after which it is deleted automatically. You can check the validity of your queue number in Varke’s online service.
You cannot fill in a housing application if you do not have a queue number or if you do not know when it expires.
You can start looking into financing and, if you need a loan, contact your bank.
When you receive a purchase offer for a home that interests you, register for the offer round during the application period. The purchase offer sent to you by email includes instructions for registering. We offer the same home to all applicants whose search criteria match the home. You can decline an offered home – this does not affect your chances of getting a home, and your housing application remains valid.
Once the application period for the home has ended, we offer the home to the applicant first in line. If you have the lowest queue number among the applicants, you will be the first to have the opportunity to view the home, after which you decide whether to accept it.
For new-build properties, the purchase decision is based on architectural visualisations.
You are under no obligation to accept the home, so you can decline it without worrying if it does not feel like the right home for you.
Residents applying to move within the same residential property have priority.
If you are aged 18–54, we will ask you to provide us with documentation of your assets.
We will agree with you on the start date of your agreement and practical matters related to moving. After this, we will sign the right-of-occupancy agreement with you. You will receive the invoices for the right-of-occupancy fee and the security deposit, as well as an information pack for residents.
You will receive the keys to your new home on the start date of your agreement.
Welcome to your new Vaso home!❤️
